About Us

THE COALITION OF CHURCHES IN PRISON MINISTRY is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to share the love of God with those who are incarcerated. The Coalition is supported entirely by generous donations from Christian friends.  It is composed of churches founded upon a belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the means to salvation.  Individual membership is extended to those who believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.   Group membership is extended to faith-based organizations that support the mission of the Coalition.

The ministries of the COALITION are:

  1. Monthly worship services at George Beto and Mark Michael Prisons in Tennessee Colony, Texas, and the Boyd in Teague, Texas.
  2. Weekly worship services at the Trusty Camp and G-4 Unit.
  3. Seven-week New Convert Classes held three times a year at George Beto Prison.
  4. The Gift-of-Light Christmas Ministry at Beto, Boyd, and Michael Prisons.
  5. Summer Revival at Beto Prison.
  6. Saturday Bible School Classes at Beto and Boyd Prisons.

Scriptural Basis:

“Come, you blessed of My father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;

I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was in prison and you came to me.

Then the righteous will answer Him saying,Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?

And the King will answer and say to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.

~ Matthew 25: 34-40
